Course Content

The Provision & Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998 (PUWER98) . Apply to all work at with abrasive wheels where there is a risk liable to cause personal injury.
These regulations place duties on employers, the self-employed, and any person that controls the work of others (for example facilities managers or building owners who may contract others to working with abrasive wheels).

Our abrasive wheels training provides information on the following :-

• Health and Safety at legislation and Approved Code of practice
• Identification and inspection of equipment as well as the reporting procedures
• Identifying potentially hazardous situations
• PPE selection and use
• Guarding, storage and handling of abrasive wheels
• Types of abrasive and understanding the importance of selecting the appropriate equipment
• Practical fitting of abrasive wheels

We can adapt all of our training courses to suit the operational requirements of your business and include both practical and theory sessions. We can deliver these courses, at short notice, to companies, organisations and groups of individuals and fit the course content to your existing work shift patterns. Our courses can be delivered in our offices in Tavistock, Devon or Lichfield, Staffordshire. We can also come and deliver these courses in your own workplace for your employees convenience.
